Arc 1 / Chapter 3: The Ties That Bind
Some animal roared in the amazon forest as the birds scattered throughout the trees on a quiet night.
"Energy discharged confirmed. A sudden dispersion of charge particles follow by the requisite disturbance in the atmosphere. The origin has been narrowed down to the Amazonian base." said Delta Red troop #1 as he and a few more men look on the computer screen. "This is the third time in the gang from another new location. No unusual solar flares spotted today either. There phenomenon is so localized." said Delta Red troop #2. "There has to be artificial in origin." said Delta Red troop #3 as DR troop #2 turned to him and said, "Maybe it's an experiment or something." He turned back and said, "At any rate, the magnitude to this discharge seems larger than the others."
"Oh it is. The good news is we've managed to confirm on the origin point. Here's an image taken from a private satellite approximately five hours ago. Take a look." said DR troop #1 as he clicks on the computer to put up a satellite image on the huge screen above to see as the DR troops look up. The image zooms in on a forest, but looks rough to see clearly. Then DR troop #2 said, "I don't see a thing. 'Course, we all know it don't take much to order photos these days. Right Cammy?"
Cammy is leaning on the wall near the door as she opened her eyes and said, "I have to agree there. And it goes beyond this surveillance photo. I can't say for certain that all of our data is being intercepted and altered as it comes in. Its not just Delta Red that's infected either. Whoever's doing this has the world pulled over the entire world's eyes. Something is out there. Something sinister operating from the shadows." "But who can have the connections and reach to pull that off?" asked DR troop #2. Cammy smiled and answered, "Shadaloo perhaps?" "But Shadaloo is history. Or so they say." said DR troop #2 with a smirk. Cammy left but stopped before leaving and turned to her troops and said, "I'm off then. The paperwork will have to wait."
In a small town...
"That's right. The man you're looking for went missing three weeks ago. The family has requested a full investigation, but, well you know how these things go. In a small town like this, we simply don't have the man power. Of course, I feel sorry for the family but investigations like that cost money and require personnel. So he was famous back home was he? You know, he use to come here to give martial arts lessons. Bottom line, word came down from the brass. My hands are tied. Is there something going on I should know about? I mean, Interpol visiting this little berg?" said the townsman as Chun-Li was about to leave when she asked him, "What if I told you this was happening all over the world? Would that satisfy you?"
Guile, Ty and Daxter are waiting for Chun-Li in the car. Daxter asked, "Hey Guile, are we finding out about a missing fighter in this ghost town?" "Yeah, I'll tell you guys more on that in a moment." said Guile. "Wait, why didn't you guys tell us earlier last night?" asked Ty. "You were asleep." said Guile as Ty got a little irritated by his comment. Chun-Li returned as Guile took off his shades and looked into her face and said, "Judging by the look on your face, I'd say we hit another dead end. Don't let it get to you. We're bound to find something eventually." As Chun-Li got in the car, she turned to Guile with a smile and said, "Boy you sound like a cop. Ever consider spending your time off with your wife?" Guile smiled and replied with, "I thought you gave up police work yourself. And here you are doing this. Heh, birds of a feather huh?" Chun-Li laughed a little and then got serious and asked Guile, "You're still not over Charlie are you?"
"I only heard about the string of disappearances by coincidence, but I couldn't get it out of my head once I did. That's when I called you." Guile turned to her and continued. "Figured you might know something. Fighters from around the world disappearing seems to be up your ally." Then he turned to Ty and Daxter and said, "Hope you guys are listening." "Crystal." said both Ty and Daxter as Guile begins explaining.
"It all started last year. Famous martial artists just started vanishing. The only thing they have in common is that each is consider the top practitioner in his or her respective art. That and absolutely no evidence is left behind following any of the abductions." "It'd be easy to assume an open and check case of kidnapping. But there have been no ransom demands. That was suspicious enough to get Interpol involved. And that's when I put the badge back on. Actually, there are forces within Interpol that want this investigation stopped. They say there's no evidence to link the disappearances. They consider this a waste of resources." said Chun-Li.
"Hmph. Well no nay sayer is gonna stop us right? Once you start talking about fighters from around the world, well that just brings a lot of stuff floating back up to the surface." said Guile. "Like Shadaloo." said Chun-Li as she remembers M. Bison. "There's no evidence that Bison and his men are really dead. I hope to god they are. Still I won't believe until I see it. Not after what I've been through. I know what they're capable of." said Guile. "They're still alive. I know it." said Chun-Li. "Then if they're still alive, they're probably behind this right?" asked Guile.
Then Ty finally spoke and said, "Then we'll just kick their asses." Chun-Li and Guile turned to Ty both surprised by his verdict about what's happening to the world fighters vanishing. "There kidnapping famous fighters around the world for god knows what, and I believe we are capable of stopping them for good. And if we run into those Shadaloo people, then they got another thing coming. Cause we'll fight back!" said Ty. Guile stared at Ty for a couple of seconds then he nodded and started up the car as they drove.
While on the road, Ty looked at Chun-Li as he thought about what she'd been through. Ty felt sympathy for her even not knowing what she had seen back then. Chun-Li turned to Ty and smiled at him as Ty got a little nervous when she looked at him. "What are you staring at?" asked Ty. "You were optimistic earlier. What's wrong now?" said Chun-Li as she giggled at the look on Ty's face as he looks the other way embarrassed.
In a huge city...
We see a helicopter take off as a mysterious man was examining reports that he got. "I understand your disappointment sir. I'm sorry." said the scientist as the mysterious man in a robe replied with, "No matter. This weapons true value won't become evident until we managed to shrink it down and make it commercially viable. For now, lets consider this but a preview to drum up interest. Let it bring people to our little party. Lossen their pocket pulls a bit. Don't you agree?" "Well if we're to perfect the device, we'll need him." said the scientist as he shows the report bio to the mysterious man. The mysterious man looks at the profile bio and said, "Ah, I know this one. He practices an art that was initially developed for assassination. But there should be another that is even more powerful than him."
"We aren't after him for his fighting style. You see if our theories are correct, he possesses a power within that if awakened, eclipses even that of the other. That power is called satsui no hado." said the scientist. "And this power will allow us to bring the BLECE project to volition?" asked the mysterious man as the scientist replied with, "Yes sir." The mysterious man smiled and said, "Satsui no hado. The murderous intent. Interesting." But the profile bio picture happens to be none other than the wandering warrior Ryu.
Speaking of Ryu...
Ryu is standing with the wind blowing behind him hard as he stands there meditating. While meditating, he felt a dark presence known as Akuma. Ryu's eyes opened wide as he lets out a roar of fear.
